An entire career in finance. After 14 years as an executive administrator for Kochis Fitz Wealth Management (now, Aspiriant), the leading independent wealth management firm, Marilyn returned to school at St. Mary’s College of California where she received her B.S. in Economics and Business Administration in May 2008.

Following graduation, Marilyn worked as an auditor serving San Francisco Bay Area non-public companies where she gained a working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), serving public accounting client needs for financials statements, audits, reviews, compilations, and litigation support services (forensic accounting).

She performed audit planning, substantive testing, observed physical inventories, and prepared financial statements and footnote disclosures.

Marilyn has maintained independent accounting clients since 1995, of which several are non-profit organizations. She is experienced with non-profit accounting, including preparing informational tax returns (IRS Form 990s) and other periodic regulatory filings.

Her extensive experience with operational, compliance, financial and regulatory policies and procedures makes her well suited to identify and execute opportunities that effectively and efficiently support the objectives of individuals and small businesses. She is an effective communicator and is experienced with relationship building involving key external and internal constituencies at various management levels.

Marilyn is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.
